WOW what a great end to a very busy week. Special visitors joined us this morning; Shabaz and Katie from Building Bridges and Maggie from the Lantern walk. Shabaz presented us with a plaque for our involvement in the school linking project which Y3 have done for the past few years. Maggie presented us with a trophy and certificate for being the school with the most families participating in the Lantern Walk; the walk raised £6,000 for Cancer Research.
All the children taking part in our productions have been stars in their own right this week but today’s stars were: Melissa, Ayaan, Elliott, Ethan, Corwyn, the whole of Class 3 and the whole of Class 7. Reasons included: being a positive super smiley star in the play, great resilience, being kind and caring, making sensible and mature choices and just for EVERYTHING! Class 3 received it for their amazing play whilst Class 7 received theirs for their astute work on the general election. After reading child friendly manifestos the Liberal Democrats were voted in because they would end Brexit and lower the voting age to 16!
More and more people reached 50 and 100 Dojos and Class 7 won Class Points.
Urban showed us a ram’s skull he has got from Scotland and Miss Broadbent opened a special parcel from the children’s author Laura Ellen Anderson containing books, badges, stickers and a special picture – all will be displayed in the library.
