WOW what a brilliant end to another busy week. We had certificates for so many good examples of effort and hard work. These included our Dojo point certificates; lots and lots of children making it to 50 and some of our first 100 Dojo certificates awarded. Also Level 1 and Level 2 Bikeability certificates for children in Year 5, climbing certificates for the children in Y6 chosen to go on this treat for their attitude to school and being all green and Footballer of the Competition for Kenzie Taylor who, along with the rest of the team, won both matches this week and are currently top of their league!
This week’s “STARS” are: Taylor, Zaydon, Inaaya, Nicole, Haseeb, Connor, Shehraza, Selina, Maisie and Kenzie. Their certificates were given for a range of reasons including improved attitude and making good choices, giving great instructions during their day in the woods, writing and spelling, long division of decimals and being a great role model all week.
We also had lots of entries for free snack for 100% attendance all week and some amazing WOW work. The work all stems from the class books that are being studied. Dylan has written an amazingly atmospheric passage based on a book set in the time of WW1. The section tells the part of where a young boy is looking for his dad in hospital. Inaaya’s writing shows how well she is trying to apply punctuation from their class book Beegu. Plus the FANTASTIC Iron Man models made as a homework project by Class 6. They are all unique with moving parts and glowing eyes. I don’t think there was any tin foil left in Colne when they made these!
