Happy VE Day everybody! I hope you are managing to find a safe way to celebrate and enjoy the bank holiday. Some of you have clearly been getting ready to decorate your gardens and windows. The children at school have been busy learning about VE day, making afternoon teas of jam sandwiches and scones and a banner for our fence. Lots of lovely photos again showing some of the things you have been up to. Some beautiful stone painting by James to create garden minibeast ornaments, baking and cooking (Bailey the cakes look scrummy!), working on a new book, (one of my favourite Roald Dahl books Urban), as well as your own VE day research and artwork. More new skills being mastered – well done Inaya on learning to ride your bike.
Dainton’s Positive Word box is a great idea and, I’m sure, will help people to keep smiling!
Don’t forget to get recording for our school music video – see the website for more details: www.west-street.org
And keep your photos coming!!
