Our sports day this year was a great success with some guaranteed sunshine for a change. The children were split into teams for our athletic decathlon event. Each team was led by Y6 pupils and represented a country. Morning saw our reception and KS1 children compete and afternoon KS2 teams. The children did brilliantly and Y6 pupils led their team from event to event with lots of cheering and chanting. We had a record turnout of parents, grandparents and family members competing in the adult competition. It was great to see the different skills the children demonstrated from great balance to javelin to long jump to throwing and catching. Well done to everybody who took part. The table below shows the medal winners.

A double gold for Liam who deserved a medal for competing twice in that heat! Also a Team medal for Mrs Whitworth for most enthusiastic member of staff!
