Our annual Greenfinger’s competition has once again provided an array of amazing and beautiful planters to brighten up the school. Each class has created their own planters deciding on a theme and then designing and creating it. They also went to the market to spend their allotted budget on carefully chosen plants. Planter themes range from Incy Winsey Spider, Egypt, Solar System to Aliens Love Underpants with Mrs Burtoft flying in the space ship!

Children, parents and staff also joined in and created their own individual recycled planters using shoes, an old dolls house, plastic bottles, bicycle helmet, paint tins and a CHAIR!

They all look fabulous. Alice Mann from Colne in Bloom came along to judge them.

Winners of the class competition were: Class 3 with their fairy garden, Class 5 with and Sparkle Room with The Hungry Caterpillar

Winners of the childrens’ planters: Muntaha’s tortoise, Ambers animals, Keegan’s Minion, Nameera’s giraffe and Lilly’s animal.

Winners of the adult’s went to Mrs Westwell’s array of shoes and Doris Lord’s amazing “Seat of Learning.”

We also had some really colourful decorations from all the classes and some individual ones; bee hives, butterflies, dream catchers. The fence looks amazing with them all on.

Well done to everyone and thank you for taking part.
