Every Monday afternoon, children from KS1 and lower KS2 come together to learn the art of mindfulness. They have quickly learned to still their busy minds and focus on just one thing at a time, be this watching a leaf fall gently to the ground or how to savour every sensation when eating. Each session involves a meditation, mindful eating, a focused activity and discussions. We have even looked at laughter therapy and the children enjoy games and activities to promote well-being.
