Today we had a special assembly presented by Megan – all the way from Canada! The assembly taught us all about NED a primary school boy who was set a challenge to learn about his “mindset”. He had to scale Mount Everest to discover the N in his name stands for “Never give up”. He also met a Yeti named YET who taught him about the “power of yet eg “I can’t do it….YET”. He then travelled by zipwire to a Caribbean island to find out that the E in his name stands for “Encourage others”. Finally he went to outer space and found that the D in his name stands for “Do your best”!

It was a great assembly with a brilliant message.

Megan told the story with bits of magic thrown in and some brilliant “yo yoing”. We will be selling the yo-yos every day next week in the main hall before and after school. Three children earned themselves a free yo-yo for their contributions to the assembly. Well done Caitlyn, Rebecca and Dylan.

The assembly was free to the school as they cover their costs by selling the merchandise.
