This week we have been learning about the Queen and the Royal Family. The children have been drawing portraits of the Queen and we spoke about our own families and drew pictures of them too. The children now know that the Queen lives in London in Windsor Castle and we spoke about some of the other famous landmarks there. Today the children helped to paint a red London bus, they are looking forward to finishing it Monday and playing inside it.

In the creative area we made some Union Jack bunting using red, white and blue paint. We also decorated some crowns using different materials and glitter.

We now have 5 butterflies! The children have enjoyed watching them grow and change and they will fly off to their new homes next week.

We have been loving the sunshine and making the most of the outdoors. We sang songs and played games using the parachute.
