Outcry Juniors (formerly known as musical theatre group) performed at Colne Little Theatre last night in their first ever professional show. The audience laughed and applauded as the children sang and danced their way through over an hour of Christmas merriment, plus a performance of their recent work ‘Consider Yourself’ from the musical ‘Oliver Twist.’
The children experienced what it is like to work in professional theatre and even had their own dressing room and a monitor to see what was happening on stage. In the interval, the children were treated to a hot chocolate in their dressing room and they got to have lots of fun on stage pulling Christmas crackers, being showered with ‘real’ snow and bonking adults over the head with wrapping paper tubes.
All in all, opening night was very successful and the children enjoyed every minute. The show is running tonight and Wednesday at The Little Theatre, River St, Colne and is priced at £5 a ticket, including refreshments and a treat for children. To book tickets contact Ms James in class 7 or simply turn up and pay on the door.
