A lovely, colourful end to our Friendship Week with our Children in Need rainbow. Classes were each given a colour of the rainbow to come dressed in – a challenging task for some classes and they did brilliantly. We even had a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow holding the money we raised!

We chose this as we have all been working on identity and diversity and thought the rainbow was a good representation of differences coming together to make something beautiful. Altogether we raised £130 for Children in Need.

Also as part of Friendship week we have held our annual Bring a Friend to Lunch. Children can invite someone to come and join them for dinner and spend some time playing with them afterwards. It is always a fully booked event and much enjoyed by children and “friends”. Thank you must go to all the ladies in the kitchen our welfare staff, Carol and Julie who does such a great job organising it.
