Class 5 had a super visit to a synagogue in Leeds. Jane was very impressed with their knowledge of the Jewish faith and with the type of questions the children asked. They wanted to know when the building was built and why there were two star of Davids on the top of the Ten Commandments.

The children learned to say hello in Hebrew and they even made their own scrolls with ‘shalom’ written on them! They were able to look at a Torah and see the five Torah’s in the Ark. The children learned lots of new facts and enjoyed their day very much.

The trip was brought to an end with a picnic in the grounds of the synagogue.
