Following our World War 1 topic last half term and the centenary of the end of the war, we have been spending the week preparing for our Remembrance Assembly and for Armistice Day on Sunday.

Craft Club have been working hard since September creating lots and lots of poppies out of old, plastic bottles. We cut them, painted them and put holes in them. On Monday this week we attached them to our school fence to create a beautiful display for everyone to see.

Class 9 have also been making wreaths of poppies, and today we took them to Colne Cemetery to place on the graves of WW1 soldiers. It was a very moving experience as we stopped to remember each of the men who lost their lives.

This Friday morning at 10.40 we will be holding our Remembrance Assembly and you are very welcome to join us.
