Important Information.
At the start of the afternoon of Monday 22nd March 2021, I was contacted by two different parents of children from two different families in both Year 5/Mrs. Duerden’s class and Nursery (Miss. Ingham’s class)/Reception (Mrs. Jackson & Miss. Deen’s class) to inform me that their children have tested positive for Covid-19. Nursery and Reception are in the same bubble.
Neither child was in school today. The parents of all the other students in both Year 5/Mrs. Duerden’s class and Nursery (Miss. Ingham’s class)/Reception (Mrs. Jackson & Miss. Deen’s class) have been contacted. All children and staff in these two class have been sent home this afternoon and told to self-isolate for 10 days after contact with the infectious children. The rooms where the classes have been taught were deep cleaned immediately. No other student bubbles in any other year group have been affected.

EYFS enjoyed their Christmas party yesterday. We did lots of dancing and played party games. We then had some yummy party food and we even had a surprise visit from Father Christmas. All the children received a present and was reminded by Santa that they need to carry on being good next week at home too.
All the staff just want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy new Year.

This week in nursery we have been learning all about winter and the changes in the weather. We have enjoyed stories about the snow and made our very own snowmen pictures. We also made snowman models with the play dough and have been playing with arctic animals in the snow. We had a lovely end to the week with being able to go outside and experience the real snow for ourselves.
This week we also had a special delivery waiting for us under our Christmas tree. It was our very own elf. He has been getting up to lots of mischief and keeping us all on our best behavior!
