What an excellent first day back! It was fantastic having most of the children back after the Christmas holidays and they was looking super smart in their nursery uniform. The children were very excited to see their friends and share stories of what fun they have been having and what presents Father Christmas brought them.
EYFS enjoyed their Christmas party yesterday. We did lots of dancing and played party games. We then had some yummy party food and we even had a surprise visit from Father Christmas. All the children received a present and was reminded by Santa that they need to carry on being good next week at home too.
All the staff just want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy new Year.
We had lots of fun over the last couple of weeks in nursery. We have had Santa’s workshop and enjoyed lots of Christmas craft activities. Here is just a few photos of some of the things we have been doing.
This week in nursery we have been learning all about winter and the changes in the weather. We have enjoyed stories about the snow and made our very own snowmen pictures. We also made snowman models with the play dough and have been playing with arctic animals in the snow. We had a lovely end to the week with being able to go outside and experience the real snow for ourselves.
This week we also had a special delivery waiting for us under our Christmas tree. It was our very own elf. He has been getting up to lots of mischief and keeping us all on our best behavior!
Take a look at what we have been up to in nursery this week
This week we have had lots of spooky fun for Halloween. The children have been getting creative making flying bats, Frankensteins, mummies and pumpkins. We have also been practicing our magic in the slime, filling up our cauldrens with lots of different things and casting our spells! We also helped to calve our pumpkin by scooping out all of the seeds and then had a spooky story whilst it was lit.
Year 4 have had a very eggciting day with a visit from some chickens!
We have had lots of fun this week exploring the season of Autumn.
It has been a very different week for Year 5 pupils who have been working very hard at home while self-isolating.
