A Whole Lot of Great Outdoors!

The last couple of weeks have been very busy with forest school.  The children have been learning lots of new skills such as mud painting and firelighting; they have even had a go at using fire steels all by themselves!  It has been a mixed bag of weather with plenty of sun but also lots and lots of rain, which tried its best to put out our fire!

Miss Brown and Ms James have been away starting their first lot of training to be Forest School Leaders; they have been on a course in Ormskirk, learning how to run a forest school themselves and how to use lots of dangerous tools and gadgets, which took some hard work!  Miss Brown and Ms James will be teaching the forest school sessions after half term and should be fully qualified by early next year.
