Christmas has arrived!!

We were so busy with the arrival of Winter, Christmas & the Elf last week that we ran out of time to blog! 

Our Christmas tree arrived & so we set about making decorations to make it look wonderful. We used pipe cleaners & colourful beads to create snowflakes. This has helped us to develop our fine motorskills aswell as looking pretty. Midweek also saw some light snowfall & a few icy spots. We wrapped up warm & went outside in smaller groups to investigate. There were lots of icy pots & pans in the mud kitchen & we enjoyed trying to crack the ice which was harder than we had expected!

At the end of the week & the beginning of the new month we welcomed a new member of EYFS, the cheeky Elf! After a chat & a vote we have called him Candy Cane. He brought us a letter from Santa to tell us that he will be watching all the way upto christmas so that he can tell Santa how good we all are! He is a little bit silly though! He has been eating our snack & this morning he was using our bread to keep toasty warm!!

We have been working hard on our Christmas play & have been practising everyday. This week we have started to go down to the hall & use the stage. We all have our parts, have tried on our costumes & some of us have lines to learn too. We cant wait to perform for you!

Last but not least, we are starting to work hard on a few christmas craft treats to bring home to our grownups. We hope you will like them :-)
